IrishFest Atlanta Celebrates the Best of Traditional Music, Dance and Culture

IrishFest Atlanta is hosting the fifth annual event on November 3 rd & 4 th at the DoubleTree by Hilton

Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody. Atlanta​ ​–​ ​October​ ​10,​ ​2017​- IrishFest Atlanta 2017 hosts world renowned artists including our headlining acts: Pride​ ​of​ ​New​ ​York​ with famous lead Joanie Madden of Cherish the Ladies, Pride​ ​of Moyvane​ a top dance band, and The​ ​Yanks​ with 5-time fiddle world champion, Dylan Foley.

The festival welcomes back dancer, Shannon Dunne, many local champion musicians, dancers and celebrated lecturers. New to the festival this year will be an Irish Tapas Food tasting and a viewing of the celebrated film documentary, An Godfather, narrated by actor, Brendan Gleeson. There is something for everyone! The festival begins on Friday evening featuring local performers and cultural activities and an opening concert by The​ ​Yanks​. Festivalgoers can enjoy their favorite beverage of Ireland at the Irish Pub experience.

Saturday includes workshops, taught by our world-class artists, as well as, dance, music and theater performances on multiple stages throughout the day. Opportunities to learn more about the Irish culture abound through an Irish sports demonstration, Irish Tea with the Irish Consul General of Ireland, lectures, Irish films and more. A favorite feature for the adults is “learn how to pull the perfect pint” (of Guinness, of course) and enjoying the nuances of whiskey during a special tasting.

Pride​ ​of​ ​Moyvane​ concert will take place Saturday afternoon followed by a dance the “Irish way.” Participate in a dance workshop that morning and join in the fun! The day will end with the Pride​ ​of New​ ​York​ concert, which always promises to be an exciting event.
