A traditional band with a truly worldwide reach, Téada celebrates 25 years on the road in 2026. The band has appeared as a frequent headliner at major music festivals throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Australia. Highlights include a 30,000-capacity stadium concert in Brittany, along with performances at Penang World Music Festival in Malaysia, Edmonton Folk Festival in Canada, Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe, and Rainforest World Music Festival in Borneo. In 2014, the band performed to 40,000 people during an extensive 7-week tour of Japan / Taiwan, and continues to have a strong touring presence in the United States, where Téada has toured actively since 2001.  

The band’s latest album on the Gael Linn label, featured an exciting vocal collaboration with Hollywood actor & singer John C. Reilly and legendary Kerry singer and accordionist - Séamus Begley, who sadly passed away in early 2023. Recent festival appearances include Dublin Irish Festival (USA), Savannah Music Festival (USA), Montana Folk Festival (USA), Festival Interceltique de Lorient (Brittany) and Irish Festival of Oulu (Finland).

Open the Door for Three

with Liz Carroll

Open the Door for Three is fiddle player Liz Knowles, uilleann piper Kieran O’Hare, and Dublin-born singer and bouzouki player Pat Broaders. Their music is a rare combination of unearthed tunes from centuries-old collections, newly composed melodies, fresh arrangements of songs old and new, homages to the musicians and bands they grew up listening to, and the unmatched energy of a trio of good friends playing great Irish music together. 

Joining the band is Liz Carroll. Liz Carroll is an Irish fiddler, composer, and recording artist. She is the first Irish-American musician to be nominated for a Grammy, and the first American-born composer honored with the Cumadóir TG4, Ireland’s most significant traditional music prize. She has toured as a solo artist and with The Green Fields of America, the group Trian, as the duo Liz Carroll & John Doyle, String Sisters, and now as a duo with guitarist and pianist Jake Charron. Featured on fourteen albums and appearing on many more, her duet album with Jake Charron, Half Day Road, was released in February of 2019..

    Celtic Brew is an Atlanta based acoustic trio that plays a lively mix of traditional Celtic tunes. The group has been together for ten years, and has performed at various public and private venues around Atlanta. The band features Mary Kilcullen on flute and whistles, Keith Berland on fiddle and mandolin, and Jeff Engel on guitar and bouzouki. They are excited to return to IrishFest Atlanta for their 8th year.

    Kathleen is a native of Cavan, Ireland – who has had a lifelong passion for sharing songs, and music with audiences. Kathleen has represented SouthEast US in the world finals in traditional singing in Ireland. Whether it is plaintive love songs, political ballads, unfamiliar comic songs, songs of emigration or songs that evoke a picturesque Ireland – Kathleen inhabits all with her inimitable verve! She also sings in the Irish language, and assists with promoting the language in and around Atlanta. Kathleen's CD 'Irish Songs You'll Love' features compilations with Debra Peterson (on harp, whistle and flute), and other guest musicians on uilleann pipes, fiddle, mandolin, bodhran, bass guitar, and guitar, as well as a capella tracks.

His electrifying performances captivate audiences, making every show a foot-tapping, sing-along celebration. His daughter, Inara Gunn, joined him on stage at the tender age of four. Quickly becoming a star in her own right, Inara stole the spotlight with her debut concert on St. Patrick’s Day 2023. Together, Marc and Inara deliver a thrilling fusion of Irish folk music, tradition, and sheer joy, creating unforgettable musical experiences.

  • Irish Brothers

    The Irish Brothers are Sandy “Sandyman” Flynn and “Captain” George Hergen. It's a unique team - Sandyman comes from the mountains of Western North Carolina with the Captain hailing from the canyons of New York City.  The two started performing together thirty-five years ago when they worked ‘suit’ jobs at IBM. Both draw from their Irish heritage for material, from traditional Irishballads, to original songs of love, drinking, revolution and redemption. Their music practically maps the Irish cultural integration into the “new country.”

    Kira Doppel, Sarah Ling, Sean Warren

    Kira Doppel is a first generation Serbian American with Irish descent and holds citizenship in both Serbia and Canada. She has been playing fiddle in Atlanta since she was 8-years-old. She has won many Midwest Championship titles in multiple groups and has qualified for the All Ireland 7 consecutive years. Kira was recently a finalist in the prestigious Fiddler of London and is a teacher at the Phoenix School of Irish Arts. Through her travels she has met numerous wonderful musicians she is proud to call her friends. Some of whom are joining her for Kira and Krew!
